Kyle Marcelli and Nate Stacey scored KohR Motorsports its second straight victory at Sebring in CTSC, the team’s Ford Mustang GT4 outlasting the competition in a race littered with incidents.

Crossing the line second in the race was the Classic BMW M4 GT4 of Toby Grahovec, Jayson Clunie, Grahovec battling from third late in the two-hour race.

Behind the #19 Stephen Cameron Racing Mercedes-AMG GT4 came home fourth ahead of the #39 Carbahn Motorsports Audi R8 which completed the top five, after a battle at the very end of the race with the #59 KohR Mustang which was demoted to sixth just before the flag.

Many contending cars fell by the wayside during the race, including the #15 Multimatic Mustang of Scott Maxwell, which was turned around at Turn 15, before retiring from the damage caused by the incident.

The Motorsports In Action McLaren, which led briefly in the first half of the race after a great drive by Corey Fergus, also retired to no fault of its own. The team’s #69 570S GT4 was t-boned at Turn 13 with 22 minutes left while Jesse Lazare was running sixth, by the Bimmerworld BMW of Tyler Cooke. Lazare continued, down in P13 briefly, before pulling off the circuit shortly after to retire the car. Cooke meanwhile, was penalised for the incident.

There was plenty of drama in the TCR class too. The race was won in the end by the #74 Compass Racing Audi RS3 LMS of Kuno Wittmer and Rodrigo Sales, Wittmer taking the win on the final lap.

Tom Long in the sister Compass #77 RS3 held a healthy lead heading into the final tour Frd Motorsports , but ran out of fuel on the back straight, promoting Wittmer and the #74 crew to victory. Long and his teammate Britt Casey Jnr unfortunately failed to cross the line, and retired. The Rumastle LLC VW Golf finished up second.

In Street Tuner, it was a hard fought battle to the flag, the #52 Mini JCW Team crew winning the race ahead of the sister #73 JCW Mini, Mark Pombo getting the better of Mat Pombo in the final stint, the duo finishing nose-to-tail.

The #21 Bodymotion Racing Porsche Cayman completed the class podium.
