Hypptv Login,
You won’t be able to watch the 2018 FIFA World Cup on Unifi TV

Radio Televisyen Malaysia (RTM) will be airing the 2018 FIFA World Cup for free with 27 live matches. For those who have UniFi TV (formerly known as

) at home, you have free access to free-to-air (FTA) channels but unfortunately, you won’t be able to watch the live matches through the UniFi TV set top box.

In an SMS sent to all Unifi subscribers, TM has announced that the 2018 FIFA World Cup matches will not be shown on UniFi TV due to broadcast rights. During the matches, you’ll see a content blackout when you tune in to RTM channels on Unifi TV. This has

If you don’t have Astro at home, you’ll have to watch the match via the old analogue or

. Astro has the full rights to broadcast all World Cup matches and alternatively, you can watch 22 live matches for free via the

That's disappointing to say the least. I really hope Astro's monopoly be remove.

This calls for an action from the great Mr Singh. I believe most people who voted are on Unifi

astro is a family of Mr. Singh…How he will go against Astro ..LOL

use rtm mobile to watch on phone or tablet,do away with astro monopoly

Worst ever reason to accept..paying so much yet get nothing .Time to say goodbye once my contract is over with unufi.

use rtm mobile to watch on phone or tablet,do away with astro monopoly

Really dissatisfied. Why can’t watch world cup from rtm channels via unifi TV.Then for what consumer paying for hypp TV. Better shut down hypp TV then

This is an insult to Unifi TV customers, if TM can’t negotiate with Astro. And TM do not care for their customers.

And let Astro earn extra for the same channel that already paid by RTM sponsors. If different channel can understand but this is RTM free government TV station. Ministry of communication to look into this absurd practice.

Hypptv Login,
Dear YB Gobind please do something fast for the rakyat who subscribed to UnifiTv to able to watch the World Cup Live too.

Hypptv Login,
This is mainly because Maxis is the one sponsor world cup to be aired at RTM.

Hypptv Login,
What’s point pay big monthly salary to top execs if all of them jointly failed to deliver during single most anticipated month in 4 years…

Government already paid RM30 million so that RTM can broadcast selected matches for free to all Malaysians. Am I the only one that thinks Astro is trying to make money from TM over something that already funded by tax payers and sponsors? Why TM should pay for something that’s Malaysians can access for free?

Although we watching via unifitv, its still RTM what. All Malaysians have rights to watch RTM what.. very bad.

Is this legal? As what i understand this is against our anti competition act rule

Remove astro monopoly n get unfi to show the games live

Remove astro monopoly n get unfi to show the games live

Get free to air Malaysian TV channels VIA my Freeview.

I really don’t understand this because tm is the main telecommunications service provider for all the other providers such digi maxis and etc then why can’t TM just put a pen hold to it and just say here we are the main provider every telco company must get or go through to us. Please mr telecommunications minister we as the rakyat asking you to look into this

TM in this case is not telecom service provider but content provider for pay tv. Think before u speak.

Please fix this up immediately YB Gobind as you know we the majority of the rakyat has got our voice to request. Thanks n God bless U.

You guys never understand about broadcast right then plz stop blaming Tm.

World Cup broadcast right is divided to Free To Air, pay tv and digital content. FTA is bought by RTM, whereby Astro took pay tv and digital content. TM cannot inherit any of it although it carry FTA channels. RTM will responsible to block it signal to used by Starhub TV as well. If u want to blame, plz blame World Cup and do use your brain before scolding like mad dogs.

u should use ur brain before talk. If TM willing to pay fee, then everything is ok but TM just greedy and only want money to come in but not out… TM monopolized internet and they cant pay fee for the broadcast ryt ? They cant even find sponsor while RTM can?

This is happen in China as well. CCTV5 which is the government station and focus on sport will carry World Cup match and will block the signal to IPTV at China and to oversea. The Chinese ppl never scold CCTV for that.

That only said U guys Malaysian are really no knowledge but start to demand free stuff.

1) Astro is not the monopoly for WorldCup. Astro just bought the pay TV and digital segment (includes IP Streaming)

Hypptv Login,
2) RTM purchased the Free-To-Air, Hypptv Login

4) As a goodwill, Astro & HyppTV just carry RTM channels for public service segment as TV1 is the responsible public broadcast services like news and announcement (like Bernama News Channel). TV2 whereby is the entertainment services, so western and multi lingua TV shows are broadcast via TV2.

1) u guys on HyppTV should blame TM as it never share purchase with Astro because they are waiting to inherit RTM worldcup screening. How come HyppTV think like this? Thats only mean they are not capable to be content provider.

2) RTM as public broadcaster has made sure their broadcasts are available at almost whole of Malaysia, thru analogue signal and in stages via digital MyFreeview, The medium is thru air (wireless). Thus, to get free World Cup, u guys should get on analogue Tv signal or get a My Freeview set top box if you are covered.

3) U guys should not blame Astro as they have not monopoly. If they have monopoly, YB will not just pay the low amount for all matches of WorldCup. YB get low price because RTM is the public broadcast FTA category. This is direct nego with WOrldCup Asia right holder itself.

4) I rather more pity to those has purchased WorldCup season passes from Astro. They have paid RM100+ but now Maxis offer RM1 per match.

So stop pointing wrongly to everyone because of yrself ignorance of info.

https://www.channelnewsasia.com/news/sport/world-…

If RTM allow the signal of world cup to be carried by a non pay license holder, RTM will be fined as well as the carrier.

By the way the world cup broadcast thru RTM is good to the nation who does not subscribe astro like me , but RTM

channel couldn’t be receive in many area. Pls consider to let unifi to broadcast.

Where do u stay? My place is 50km away from the DVB-2 MyFreeview transmitter, by using a indoor antenna booster, i can receive MYFreeview loud and clear.

The DVB-2 receiver is just RM60which u can get from Lazada,,, does not need the official setop box as its a non encypted service and an intl standard.

If this is true… Lets share this post and make this big!

Big dissappointed ! Last year i start using unifi t.m , just because i thought can watch world cup match and now after subcribe for ultimate pack ,cant watch world cup… what is this ,.buat rugi jer…bayar rm60.00 sebulan.. TM UNIFI DO SOMETHING… OR REPLACE MY MONEY!!! Tunggu lama lama lepas tu tak boleh tengok world cup.

but you can using Unifi internet to access the RTM website and watch it there. The RTM website do not block it. cheers.
