An official ribbon-cutting ceremony is planned for 11 a.m. Oct. 13 at part of Southeast’s Homecoming festivities. (Source: Southeast)
A ceremony took place for the opening at Southeast Missouri State University for the National Pan-Hellenic Council (NPHC) Plaza.
According to the university, the plaza will provide a greenspace for student recreation and events and recognize Southeast’s NPHC chapters.
An official ribbon-cutting ceremony is planned for 11 a.m. Oct. 13 at part of Southeast’s Homecoming festivities.
The Plaza is on the north end of Parker Field. It recognizes Southeast’s eight historically African-American fraternities and sororities, including Alpha Phi Alpha, Iota Phi Theta, Omega Psi Phi and Phi Beta Sigma fraternities and Alpha Kappa Alpha, Delta Sigma Theta, Sigma Gamma Rho and Zeta Phi Beta sororities.
