IIFT 2019 application released on August 6; Exam on December 2

Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT) will conduct the national-level entrance exam IIFT on Sunday, December 2018, for admission to its MBA programmes at its Delhi, Kolkata and Kakinada campuses. The official exam notification has been released and according to the same, the online registration form is made available from August 6. The last date to fill the application form is September 14, 2018. Around 60,000 candidates appear for the exam every year for around 600 seats.

A Bachelor’s Degree of minimum 3 years duration in any discipline with 50 per cent marks in Graduation (45 per cent for SC/ST/PWD candidates) from a recognised institution.
The final year graduation students can also apply subject to submission of proof of requisite qualification latest by October 7, 2019.
For Foreign National and NRI- The candidate should be able to produce Graduate Management Aptitude Test (GMAT) score which should be received by the Institute latest by February 15, 2019. GMAT taken before January 1, 2017, will not be considered.
Eligible candidates will need to register for the exam prior to proceeding with the IIFT application procedure. The required details such as personal, academic and contact information should be accurately filled in order to avoid hassles.
During registration, candidates would need to upload their scanned image and signature. Hence, they should keep a scanned copy of both ready at the time of filling the application form.
The image size for both photograph (file size not more than 50KB) and signature (file size not more than 20KB) should be in a .JPG/.JPEG format.
Keep the credit/debit card ready if paying the application fee online.
To complete the registration process, candidates will have to requisite application fee through Online (Credit/Debit Card, Netbanking) mode. The notified fee structure for General/OBC-NCL category is Rs 1650 and Rs 825 for the SC/ST/PH categories. Test takers’ online registration will be accepted only after payment and realization of the online registration fee. However, the Foreign nationals/NRI/ Children of NRI will need to pay USD 805 (Rs. 5500) as the application fee.
IIFT will be conducted in online mode and will consist of multiple choice questions. The total duration of the test is two hours and will comprise of English Grammar, Vocabulary and Comprehension, General Knowledge and Current Affairs, Logical Reasoning, Data Interpretation and Quantitative Analysis.
Firstly, shortlisting will be done on the basis of the IIFT exam score. The shortlisted candidates will then be called for writing skills assessment, personal interview, and group discussion rounds. The IIFT selection procedure will take place in January-February 2019.
Last year, around 57,000 students appeared for IIFT examination. The numbers are expected to increase this year. The selection procedure will be hosted across major states including, Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Lucknow and Mumbai.
