I Love Carson City’s Weekend Event Summary: Aug. 18 - 19
Jazz and Beyond comes to a close under the shade of the Capitol trees on Sunday. Pack a picnic and enjoy with loved ones.
We are running out of summer weekends. I know that’s hard to believe right now, but hoodies and everything pumpkin is just beyond the horizon. Grab summer with both hands and go enjoy this beautiful city. The Brewery Arts Center brings Dennis Johnson and the Mississippi Ramblers to the stage for tonight’s free concert. Check out the Railroad Museum for your fill of music and antique motor cars. Car lovers have two shows to choose from today: spectators will be able to enjoy both, but you’ll have to pick one if you want to enter your ride. Keep reading for more summertime fun.

It’s a bittersweet Sunday. The new school year begins tomorrow for Carson City students. (Douglas has already begun and Dayton gets one last week of freedom.) The Jazz and Beyond Music Festival finishes up another successful run with today’s festivities including music at the Nevada State Railroad and a long afternoon at the Legislative Plaza. It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas. Don’t worry, you’ve still got four months for your holiday shopping, but Santa needs to hire a few helpers. Carson City investigators seek identity of thieves who broke into vapor shop
The Carson City Sheriff’s Office Investigation Division is asking for assistance in identifying two commercial burglary suspects who broke into a vapor store and stole merchandise.

Silver City is wrapping up summer in style with a day of fun in the park on Saturday, Sept. 1. A rummage sale to benefit Silver City Arts will begin at 9 a.m. and an afternoon and evening of live music will run 3 to 8 p.m. Starting at 2:30 beer, wine and soda will be for sale to benefit the Silver City School House and future music events.

Ride will normally consist of two loops which are 10-15 miles long each. The ride pace will vary depending on rider level, but will usually be about a 12-16 mph pace. This is a "no drop" ride so no one is left behind. All riders must have a bicycle in safe working condition, a helmet, and closed toed shoes.
