Huawei Nova 3, Nova 3i India Launch Today: How to Watch Live Streaming, Expected Price, Specifications

After debuting in China earlier this month, Huawei is now all set to launch its latest Nova-series smartphone – Huawei

, in India today. The launch event is happening in New Delhi and will commence at 2 PM IST Today. You can watch live streaming on the company’s official

handles. The YouTube channel of Huawei India already has the cover image of the Nova 3 and the Nova 3i with the caption,“Coming 4 You.” It hints that the company may live stream the India launch event on the platform.

was launched in China with the price tag of 2999 yuan ($ 446/ Rs. 30,620 approx.). The Huawei Nova 3i, on the other hand, was launched with a price tag of CNY 1,999 ($ 297/ Rs. 20,400 approx.) for the 4GB RAM with 128GB storage model and CNY 2,199 ($ 327/ Rs. 22,500 approx.) for the 6GB RAM with 64GB storage variant. Both the smartphone will be available exclusively via Amazon India.

The Huawei Nova 3 runs on EMUI 8.2 based on Android 8.1 Oreo operating system. It sports a 6.3” full HD+ (1080×2340 pixels) 19.5:9 display with 85 percent NTSC colour gamut. The smartphone is powered by a 2.36 GHz Huawei HiSilicon Kirin 970 octa-core processor coupled with Mali-G72 GPU with GPU Turbo technology. It offers 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage, which can be further expanded up to 256GB via microSD card.

For photography, the Huawei Nova 3 comes equipped with a dual rear camera setup with a combination of a 16MP primary sensor with f/1.8 aperture and PDAF and a 24MP secondary sensor with f/1.8 aperture and LED flash support. It supports AI scene recognition that is claimed to be capable of detecting over 500 scenes. On the front, it has another dual camera setup with a combination of a 24MP primary sensor with f/2.0 aperture and a 2MP secondary sensor. The front camera is equipped with facial recognition technology as well as 3D Qmoji.

The Huawei Nova 3 is fuelled by a 3750mAh battery. Connectivity options include dual-SIM support, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth v4.2, GPS/ A-GPS, 3.5mm audio jack, an USB Type-C port. It measures 157×73.7×7.3mm and weighs 165 grams.

The smartphone is powered by up to 2.2 GHz HiSilicon Kirin 710 octa-core processor. As mention above, it offers 4GB RAM with 128GB of internal storage and 6GB RAM with 64GB of internal storage options. The storage can be further expanded up to 256GB via microSD card.

For photography, the Huawei Nova 3i comes equipped with a dual rear camera setup at the back as well as on the front. The rear camera setup includes a 16MP primary and a 2MP secondary sensor with AI scene recognition technology, while on the front, it has a 24MP primary sensor with f/2.0 aperture and 2MP secondary sensor. The front camera also supports 3D Qmoji, which is similar to Apple’s Animoji.

The Huawei Nova 3i is fuelled by a 3340mAh battery. Connectivity options include Dual-SIM support, 4G VoLTE, dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth v4.2 LE, GLONASS, GPS/ A-GPS, USB 2.0 port. Sensors onboard include an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, digital compass, gyroscope, and proximity sensor. It measures 157.6×75.2×7.6mm and weighs 169 grams.
