I can certainly relate! One of the big things that got me interested in Far Cry Primal over its modern day counterparts is that you could tame animals to use as partners on the hunt. Bears, lions, wolves, dholes, jaguars, sabertooth tigers, badgers...You can even ride the bigger animals.

Also a big thing I love about Grand Theft Auto V on PS4 is that it added peyote plants that cause hallucinations where you control a pug or cougar or deer or whatever. And playing as an animal also unlocks it for the Casting Theater mode, where you can play as most characters under settings of your choosing.
