A new bitcoin scam site claims to hack the blockchain and give you free bitcoin
A new bitcoin scam has risen, targeting those new to bitcoin by claiming to “hack the blockchain to give users of its site free bitcoin using the address provided." This scamming website is known as “bitcoin-generators.net.”
This scam starts like many other bitcoin and cryptocurrency generator scams. It targets those with little to no knowledge on bitcoin and the blockchain technology behind the coin. Feeding on the desperate and marketing to a large audience is how these scams usually succeed.
The websites pregenerated bots lure people into thinking that the process of stealing bitcoin actually works by other bots, disguised as real people that have received the BTC talking about their successes in receiving the BTC and that it actually works.
The specifics on how the scam works, those who are interested to receive their free BTC enter the bitcoin address where they want their free bitcoin sent to. After sending this, the website will send the user a couple of automated messages then request that the miner fee must be paid before they receive their bitcoin. Of course once you pay this fake miner fee, you still will never see your fake bitcoin the website claims to have for you.
