Oppo Find X Launched in India with Camera Slider, Snapdragon 845, 3D Face Unlock: Price, Specifications and More
in India. The main highlight of the smartphone is its unique motorised camera slider that pops in and out from the top automatically. Oppo claims that the slider has been tested over 300,000 times for durability. Furthermore, the Oppo Find X offers top-notch specs along with 3D facial recognition technology.
The Oppo Find X comes in two colour variants â Bordeaux Red and Glacier Blue. It has a shiny metal back with curved edges without any camera sensor on the front or at the back. It has a motorised slider that opens and closes automatically whenever you open or close the camera app. On the front, the smartphone has a bezel-less and notch-less display with a small chin on the bottom. The camera slider houses a dual camera setup at the rear end, and a single camera setup along with an Infrared camera, Flood illuminator, Dot projector on the front which is used for 3D facial recognition to unlock the device. As per Oppo, the sliding mechanism was tested to 300,000 slides the average person unlocks their phone 100-150 times a day.
The 3D face unlock, which Oppo calls O-Face Recognition uses 3D Structured Light Technology which scans 15,000 facial points and claims that it is 20 times safer than the fingerprint scanner.
The Oppo Find X comes with the price tag of Rs 59,999 and will be available for pre-order starting from July 25
exclusively via Flipkart. The smartphone will be available to purchase starting from 3
August exclusively from Flipkart and Oppo offline stores across the country. Users who pre-order for the smartphone will get Rs 3000 gift voucher.
There is also a Limited Lamborghini Edition with carbon fiber back, 512GB storage and VOOC Super Flash charge.
The company said to bring the special edition in the country soon, pricing of the same will be revealed later.
The Oppo Find X runs on ColorOS 5.1 based on Android 8.1 Oreo operating system. It sports a 6.42â Full HD+ (2340 x 1080 pixels) AMOLED Panoramic Arc display with 19:5:9 aspect ratio, 93.8 percent screen-to-body ratio, and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection on top. The smartphone is powered by a 2.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 octa-core processor coupled with Adreno 630 GPU. It offers 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. There is no microSD card support to expand the storage further.
For photography, the Oppo Find X comes equipped with a dual rear camera setup with a combination of a 16MP primary camera with f/2.0 aperture, OIS, PDFA, LED flash and a 20MP secondary camera with f/2.2 aperture. On the front, it has a 25MP shooter with f/2.0 aperture for selfies and video calls. The front camera comes with A.I. capabilities which intelligently analyze face, nose, and eyes, etc. to automatically add beautification effects to your selfies. There is also support for 3D Omojis similar to Appleâs Animoji.
The Oppo Find X is fuelled by a 3730mAh battery with VOOC fast charging support that is rated to give 2 hours of talk time with 5 minutes of charge. Connectivity options include dual-SIM support, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac, Bluetooth 5 LE, GPS, and USB-Type C port. It measures 156.7Ã74.3Ã9.4mm and weighs about 186 grams.
